About the Book

ABDUCTION and REVENGE is the story of Sylvia, a young woman, who after a very hard work week is looking forward to attending a party being held at her best friend’s condo in Boston. While at the party, she meets  her friend’s brother Bob, and allows him to drive her home. Bob drops Sylvia at her doorstep.  She’s not seen again. Vinnie DeAngelis, a Private Detective is called in by Sylvia’s mother, to locate her.  Vinnie is assisted by Carlo, an Italian Police Officer, who is also Sylvia’s uncle. They find that a case they had worked on together in the past, comes back to haunt them. They realize that no one can be trusted, not even the police.  Vinnie and Carlo work this case from the gritty streets of Boston and scenic Revere to a tranquil rural forested area of New Hampshire, finding lies, deceit and dead bodies along the way.

About the Author

Born in Boston and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, Ralph had a much varied career. After leaving the military, Ralph went back to school and studied Computer Technology, working for such firms as Honeywell, Data General and Masscomp. Becoming bored with the corporate world, he entered the Law Enforcement community, first with the Carroll County Department of Corrections, then as a ‘Watch Commander’ with the Department of Defense Police.

Ralph had also owned a Private Investigation Agency, working cases that spanned the globe. After retirement, Ralph started paying closer attention to the politics of the world. Ralph’s first novel was spawned after seeing a news article concerning two men detained at the Italian/Swiss border, carrying 135 billion dollars in US Bonds. That incident more then anything else, propelled Ralph into a new career as an author.

Ralph is currently living with his wife in a small rural New Hampshire town and has one son who lives in Texas. Ralph spends his time hunting, fishing or working on his classic cars when not writing.
