The Lifestyle of God's True Believers

There are many titles that God applies to his men and women, and to list them all in context would be something to observe and appreciate. To encompass all those who have lived their lives through faith and have manifested a powerful believing example, group them together by the way they lived under the category of “True Believers.” Now the men and women, whose examples we are blessed to learn from, who believed to operate the power of the spirit of God, did not always have a complete understanding regarding the actions to be taken in situations that arose. There was no online Chilton’s manual for spiritual operation. There were no bookstores, either—or books, and the scrolls that did exist were rare, costly, and kept under guard. The great men and women of that day, received what was available, memorized it, and clutched it within themselves the way a person might guard a treasure. This is the lifestyle of a True Believer: What is available to know and practice, one does to the best of their ability, always striving to be ready for God to inspire in areas where direct knowledge is not available. Think of all that God has provided: His written Word (what you can know by your five senses God expects you to know), and the revelation manifestations of word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discerning of spirits. With these resources, is there any reason we cannot be as bold as those champions who have come before? The “True Believers” of old walked by the spirit of God, and God was faithful to supply their need to know in any situation so they would always have the upper hand. Belief in God’s ability to provide gives a man true courage and confidence to live for Him who sent him. To strengthen your mind’s ability to believe, and to further your knowledge of what’s available from God, look to those true believers who have come before. God has standards He doesn’t compromise. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” A true, accurate, knowledge of the Word and Will of God is what is needed in every case. We have the opportunity to deliver an accurate knowledge of God’s Will for people’s lives so that they do not have to be destroyed. But it starts with each person taking up their individual responsibility to be a workman for God, continually, day after day, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Then serving your fellow man.
