Alextoff could hardly believe that his father had agreed to let him go. Still at the young age of 112 years, he felt, in fact he knew that he was ready for the test. Alextoff had been studying earth now for some fifteen Earth years. He spoke seventy-two of Earth's languages and had memorized the locations of the towns and cities on most of the continents of the planet. He was familiar with all the major species of planets and animals, but he had a hard time memorizing the 12,200 insects that populated the small planet. He knew, however, that the onboard computer in the spaceship that his dad was going to let him use had all the information and much more. He had wanted to take his dad's cruiser, but even he knew that to ask was a waste of time.
