About the Author
Author Kelly Davenport lives in northern California with her husband and two young sons. After a successful career as an award winning corporate interior designer she is now a full time mother and part time university professor. Art, writing and creativity are a way of life for Kelly. Writing came as a natural outlet for the magical life questions frequently asked by her children. Eager to foster creative imagination in them, Kelly often indulges her two boys in fanciful story telling which fuels the ideas for books that children love. Illustrator Pat Cronin lives near the Coast in Southern California with her husband and daughter. Holding degrees in Interior Design and Art Pat spent over twenty years in the Commercial Design industry as Designer, Project Manager and Sales Executive. Always craving the more creative side to her career, Pat decided to shift her focus to illustrating children's books when her long-time friend Kelly Davenport wrote the book entitled “Do Hotdogs Grow On Trees”. Over the past fourteen years Kelly and Pat have explored many ideas about collaborating on projects. It was not until Kelly wrote this charming story, inspired by her oldest son, that she and Pat were able to complete their dream of working together on a project of their own. Both women are committed to making magical stories come to life! The real story behind this story is the magic created between two best friends who are both mothers, artists, and designers.
