Turtle Reef is located right off the beach. Freckles changes into his new, blue-striped swim trunks and puts on his snorkel. "Wow! Look at all the colorful fish," Freckles says to himself. He snorkels past dozens of bright yellow fish with black stripes called sergeant major fish. He looks down at the sandy bottom filled with coral and sea fans. Turtles of all sizes swim past him. "Where are the stingrays?" Freckles wonders, as he swims around.

About the Book
This is the first book in a series of stories about Freckles, a friendly, huggable cocker spaniel named for the cute brown spots on his nose, who sets out to see the world one adventure at a time. His first stop is Grand Cayman Island and his only wish is to see the stingrays. Read to find out if Freckles gets his wish and meet his new friends who show him around the island: Tim Turtle, Sandy Piper, Iggy, the blue iguana, and Captain Bob. Monica L. Monica, M.D., PhD, MHA is a practicing ophthalmologist in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is married to Dr. Daniel A. Long and has two daughters, Danielle Monica Long and Lisa Alexandra Long. Freckles is the dog Lisa chose as a special birthday present. The girls and their mom and dad are very lucky to have Freckles as part of the family.
