About the Author

Jordan lives in Maryland with his mother, Janet, his father Patrick and their two long-haired dachshunds, Oscar and Trixie. They both have several family members that have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military. Janet, a former military brat, grew up living on different military bases and attending several Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS) in the U.S. and Europe. Her father, a retired U.S. Army service member, served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Jordan’s father is a retired U.S. Air Force service member. As a child with ADHD, Jordan faced many challenges of his own when he started school. In order to help him improve his reading and writing skills, Jordan’s mother encouraged him to write a story with her. It was through this process that this story came to life and Janet’s childhood dream to become a writer came true. This is their first story together.
