"The Unlikely Making of A Mennonite Minister," is the autobiography of Herman Myers. It is the account of his journey through
life from a Pennsylvania farmboy to serving as a Mennonite minister for 52 years. A high school drop-out, growing up without knowledge of who
Mennonites were, he followed an early inner call to ministry. Through many twists and turns he responded to God's call and was ordained to serve
six Mennonite churches over a period of 52 years. He retired from pastoral ministry in 2010.


About the Author

Herman Frederick Myers was born October 16, 1929, in Titusville, Pennsylvania. Growing up on a farm he went from farm-
boy to woodsman, factory worker, homebuilder, to ordained minister. He married the former Melba Augsburger in 1952. Together they had five
children and four grandchildren. After nearly 52 years of marriage he was widowed in 2004. Currently he is semi-retired after serving six
congregations in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He also served in various roles of the district conference of churches he pastored in for some thirty years.
He completer this biography on his 80th birthday. His hobbies and intrests include, reading, photography, sports, golfing, and hunting.
He currently lives in Woosdter, Ohio.
