About the Book
This book is about a 4 week old kitten who had gotten lost from her mother or was guided out of the litter due to her eye problems. Found in Ione, CA on a 102 degree day in July, she would not have lived much longer if she had not been found by Paul (Dad). Real photographs were taken of her first days in the family, her eye surgery and recovery. The goal is to show children how to care for a kitten that is not 100% and the joy she brings. Also, to let children know just because someone is different does not mean they should be treated different. Love is the answer.
About the Author
Allyson Traba has spent over 30 years working with children. In her 20's she worked as a director for children's summer camps. She was always popular with the children and began working closely with Type-1 juvenile diabetics through the camp programs. Her professional career was spent working as a Certified Medical Assistant in family practice and urgent care clinics. She also taught Medical Assisting at the vocational college level. Allyson combines her passion for having fun with kids while encouraging them to be respectful and responsible. "I will always find a way to employ my skills to help others."
