I have titled the book “Outside the Nutshell” as there are numerous books that try to convey something in a Nutshell (there are 1,290 Nutshell titles on Amazon to date including Grape Growing and Quantum Theory) but to be successful we need to know more than the succinct guide or summary. I have tried to present what I think makes the difference between completing the task (following the Nutshell guide) and being successful in the engagement (stepping outside the Nutshell).

About the Author
John Coyle is a seasoned professional project and programme manager. With over 20 years' experience, mainly but not exclusively in the Telecomms and IT world. He has delivered significant projects in both private and public sectors. He has worked for a small software house, for the public sector and for large multi-national corporations. He has experience as both the supplier/vendor and as the customer/end-user. He has delivered systems to control nuclear power stations, developed a Command and Control system for the Ambulance Service, managed a software vendor for a large corporation, and delivered telecommunication solutions and various transformation initiatives in large corporations.
John's varied experience of dealing with a wide variety of people in an equally wide range of situations and circumstances extends to roles outside his professional work, including, as an active member of his church, organising several large international conferences and events.
John is married to Mary and they have 5 sons.
