I could be in a casket even at my age,
Which is why I thank God for my life, giving me another page,
I could also be strung out,
Which is why it is a blessing for someone like myself to take the right route,
If I were to die,
How many would actually shed a tear and cry?
If I were deceased,
How many would give the effort to maintain peace?
If I were dead,
How much more blood would be shed?
If many would put down a glock and start healing and resting,
Then another day to wake would be a greateful blessing.

About the Author
Carvaughn Cullins is a brilliantly gifted wordsmith with the ability to inject positivity and love with his distinct poetical dialect. Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, Carvaughn began writing poetry at the tender age of 14 years old, just 2 years prior to the completion of “How I Seek Peace”. Earning numerous accalades along the way, Carvaughn has been published multiple times in the International Library of Poetry and the League of American Poets. There aren't too many topics that Carvaughn hasn't written about and not a single subject that he can't expound on. Ultimately, Carvaughn aspires to place himself in the upper echelon of writers as one of poetry's elite. Carvaughn is a graduate of Muncie Christian School and the Kansas City Kansas Community College and is currently making preparations to continue his education. You may have also seen him on “Judge Alex”. It's no question that his self proclaimed title as the Multi-Million Dollar Poet will soon be achieved.
