May I Slay a Dragon for You? is a work of unconditional love. The time frame is October 1971 to February 2010, except that the love and the stories will last far beyond these years. Adapting the tagline of a television show, “There are hundreds of Serteen stories. These are but a few of them.” Technologically awkward, I deal with teens who cannot conceive of life without cell phones, iPods, computers, text messages, e-mails, and facebook. I admit I can’t handle the technology, nor do I want to. I do have a talent. I understand unconditional love and how to spread the feeling to the people I meet. This talent is divinely inspired from sources beyond my understanding. I visualize the spirit of Susie Harrigan… who designated me a kahuna, one who seeks knowledge… She is my guardian angel.

About the Book
May I Slay a Dragon for You?: The Hawaii Serteens Story is conceived as a book specifically for highly gifted high school students and their parents. Each story is designed to allow maximum participation in high-level seminars taught by Serteens alumni and advisors. With the program based at Kilauea Military Camp on the Island of Hawaii, the students also climb Mauna Kea and walk Halemauau Crater. George B. Carter has managed to tie together the positive thinking concepts of Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone with the brightest young minds in Hawaii. The resulting combination is irresistible fun.
About the Author
George B. Carter has worked with gifted students for forty years. He is working to merge cause-and-effect reasoning with divine dissatisfaction and divine intervention. Carter believes that the positive thinking mind broadcasts thoughts that can attach to other positive thoughts in the universe—thoughts that are things—and can result in goal achievement. A retired Air Force Officer, economist, and student of Japanese and Chinese history, he aims to keep his mind active and alive.
