Destiny

Eddy Tyler is a fifteen year-old kid who was born in Bainbridge, Georgia. His greatest love in life is playing basketball and he is great at it. He is the top scorer on his high school team, and that team has not lost a game all season.

He has just finished his tenth year in high school and now is about to leave everything he knows, and everyone he knows behind and moves to Las Vegas, Nevada. His father had been offered a promotion in the State Farms Insurance Company he has worked for over the past several years.

The promotion however comes with a twist. John has to move his family to Las Vegas, Nevada if he wants to take the position of CEO in the company. Once they have moved to Las Vegas, Nevada though, things take a dramatic change in their lives. The house they had had the State Farms Insurance Company buy for them is in shambles.

Eddy's parents are killed in a tragic automobile accident the night of his fathers welcome to the Company dinner. He was to start his new job on Monday and this was Friday.

Eddy is left to survive on his own, on the streets of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is forced to do unimaginable things just to survive, compared to the way of life that he was brought up in.

I wonder if we could survive what Eddy has had to go through, and what he sees in the next nine years of his life.

"I have no parents.....I have no home....I live on the street." Eddy says to three teenage boys on the basketball court of a school in Las Vegas the first day they met.
