Speak the Word!

If there is a time in our lives when we need to know, have a deep understanding and then speak forth God's Word out of our mouths, it is NOW! Hosea 4:6 says that my people perish for lack of knowledge. Ignorance is not an excuse. The fact that you do not know that a particular law exists does not mean that you would not be punished or face the consequences, if you broke such a law.

The Word of God says in 1 peter 3:10, let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good - whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile.... in other words, what we speak out of our mouths can determine the out come of our lives! Therefore, if we want to enjoy life and see good days, we must watch what words come out of our mouths. What comes out of our mouths is a reflection of what is inside our hearts. Our words are truly a reflection of who we are.

I have come to realise that a lot of Christians do not yet understand the power God has given us through our spoken words! And because of that, some Christians are living a life of misery and defeat, a life of continuous failure, anger, bitterness and depression; being angry with everyone and with God. And yet sadly, all caused by them - their mouths! You cannot believe one thing and speak contrary to what you believe at the same time. For example, you cannot say that God supplies all your need according to His riches in Christ Jesus, and the very next minute a bill comes through your door, you look at it and say, oh dear, how and where on earth will I get the money to pay this bill?

You cannot say that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed of every sickness in your body, and the next time you have the symptom of a cold, you say ...oh dear, I have a cold now, I guess it's one of those days again that I fall sick with a cold. You need to stand firm on that Word that you believe and have spoken out of your mouth.... that you are healed, and remain the healed of the Lord. If you believe God's Word, then the words that come out of your mouth should line up with the Word of God. Period! And this should be the case in every area of our lives and in any circumstance or given situation.

When I received the inspiration to write this book, God began to show me, and teach me through His Word that, we were being trapped and held bound by the very words that come out of our mouths. Proverbs 6:2 says that, you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth.

He said that our circumstances would not change until we begin to speak His Word in faith, agreeing with His Word. Can two walk together except they be in agreement? We need to agree with God and His Word if we are to walk with Him. There is a time to pray, a time to praise, a time to worship, a time to fast, a time to study the word, a time to bind the forces of darkness, a time to be silent. This is the time to speak God's Word out of our mouths! Even in the face of 0ur circumstances.

We are in a time when people's hearts will fail them because of these hard times coming on the whole earth. The Bible is very clear about it, that the world would face difficulties, hard times. Talk about the so called credit crunch, the depressed housing market, soaring fuel prices, the breakout of epidemics, higher food bills, earth quakes, wars and rumors of war etc. Isaiah 60:2-3 says that, for behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dence darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [o Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. God has already made a way out for His children, through His Word. That's why He said in His Word in the above verse that He will arise upon you, and His Glory will be seen on you and all shall come to your light and to the brightness of your rising. This promise is already manifesting in the lives of all those who know their God, even as El-shaddai, Almighty God, the many breasted one, The all sufficient God, The One who is More than Enough! Even as Jehovah, Covenant keeping God. This is the time we need to study, meditate and speak God's Word, spending quality time with Him. And yes, this is the time to declare His Word in the face of our circumstances.

Speak God's Word to your finances, your health, and family, and to that situation. You see, it's the enemy's plan that you remain ignorant about this truth. But thank God for His mercy and His Faithfulness. I know it's not going to be easy at first, especially if you haven't been doing that before, but it is possible. Let us begin to speak God's Word and see the devil flee just as he did when Jesus spoke the Word to him. Are you ready for a change in your circumstances, then begin to speak the Word of God.
