"Where's that man o' yours hiding now, Girl?” asks Sole --Murcia's best friend and former classmate in Business Management at AVC. "Hiding my man?” Murcia Blinks, raising an eyebrow. “What d' you mean?” "He works no more at Stargazing. You know? My Eddy went over last week…Looking for him, your man, to share doughnuts and Cappuccino, and some tidbits o' fellow guys' gossip… But no signs o' Victor, nowhere at all! And when my Eddy asks the security chick (the tall blond broad from Ukraine) she shrugs and says that no one has seen him in a million years! Was Victor sacked, and didn't tell you?” Sole insinuates nonchalant. "Victor fired?” Murcia says frowning, “O no! He's got a promotion --and a bunch o' headaches with it!” she adds giggling. “He's now in charge o' setting up an office, can you imagine? Hire as many souls as required, and open up a new branch --” "Wow!” chirps Sole. "He was even mentioning something regarding a possible chance o' talking the investors into pouring some money upon Eddy's Café,” adds Murcia, gazing fondly at her friend. "Wow…and triple wow!” chirps and claps Sole. “By the way,” she whispers conspiratorially, “Don't you ever get caught by my Eddy calling his business café…It's a Coffee Shop, okay?” "Okay!” laughs Murcia, holding up her right hand. "That's awesome, really!” chirps happily Soledad. “When my Eddy finds out --” "Remember the old beetle?” asks Murcia. "Victor's mean-green-clanking machine?” giggles Sole. "Piece of junk,” Murcia says laughing. “Runs well for a day, and then limps for a week…” "What else can you expect from that pitiful cockroach?” laughs Sole. Murcia whispers conspiratorially “Don't you ever get caught by Victor calling his beetle a cockroach --” "Bah! Beetle or cockroach, what's the difference?” shrugs Sole. “Both are nasty bugs, anywise. What about it?” "With the substantial raise he's got --” "Promotion and raise we're talking?” blurts out Sole, “Wow! "I asked him to get us a newer vehicle… What d' you think he said? That I'm to choose whatever I want --van or station, size or make, year or price, won't matter none --but he's keeping the beetle, as a charm o' good luck, for as long as he lives!” "May he live long!” giggles Sole. "Amen!” giggles back Murcia.

About the Book
By Christmas an Argentinean immigrant, married, father of two children, accidentally comes across a jewel in the parking lot of a Commercial Mall. Later on he finds out that what he has in his possession is a powerful means to make any wish come true. He hoards wealth. Until he learns the infinite range of possibilities the fabulous jewel can offer. Progressively he tries his best to help the less fortunate, as he feels it is his duty for the much he has been favored. And then the moment comes when driven by his desire to improve the status quo in his adopted country, the second largest in the world, he assumes its absolute control. He proceeds with the best of intentions, perhaps, but his methods of dealing with the situations are single-minded and quite dictatorial.

What the Author has to tells us about himself: "Prior to my present position as Head Facility Operator of a public High School I held a variety of jobs. "Accounting as a profession was my father's choice, not mine. I went through it just to humour him, really. My heart was on any expression of Art. "As a Guitar Soloist I have played in Guatemala, Mexico, New York and Canada. As a Dramatic Actor I performed in several theatres of Central America. I translated the lyrics of several songs from English into Spanish for the recording houses FONICA, DIDECA, and DICESA. And translated Contemporary Dance scripts from French into Spanish for the National Ballet. "Through the years I have been Supervisor in a chain of Fried Chicken Restaurants, Sales Manager of Antiques and Pre Colombian Jewelry, Teacher of Grammar and Literature in Advance Programs of SSL, Quality Supervisor in a Furniture Factory, Security Guard in several high tech buildings, Maintenance Custodian in Hospitals and Commercial Stores. "I keep true to the motto I learnt from Grandpa: When I can not do what I like best, I learn to like what I have to do."
