We were the children who thrived on the Wizard of Oz. It came on TV every spring, and the thrill and fear of watching that witch spilled over into our everyday lives. We had a witch in the alley.
There at the back door was an old broom. It was exactly like the broom on the Wizard of Oz. Always sleeping by the broom was a huge fat black cat.

Cathy Toponce Cook was born and raised in Ogden Utah. She has a degree from Weber State University. She has been married to Phillip Cook for 39 years and is the mother of 4 sons and 1 daughter.
She and Phillip have 11 grandsons. She lives on a farm in Syracuse Utah and enjoys her family and home.
