About the Book
This story is to illustrate how life changed over eighty years, how the Second World War changed peoples lives for ever. How technology keeps producing new ideas that makes life easier but not neccesary making the world a more friendly place to live in. I have tried to show people that life was not always about mobile phones and personal computors. The characters in the book are based on people that I grew up with having spent my early years living on a croft experiencing the hardships that went along with that era and way of life.
About the Author
I was born 14/12/1937 old enough to remember the Second World War. Eight years of my life was spent living on a small holding (croft), living from hand to mouth through the six years the war lasted. I left school at fifteen with no qualifications, worked for forty seven years mainly in Construction and Heavy Engineering. In 2000 I suffered a heart attack that left me unable to hold down full time work. To pass the time I bought a computor and decided to write poetry and short stories. My first book is my own autobiography Tigers Under The Turf, it sold five hundred copies hopefully this one will do better. A Way Of Life Disrupted is meant to be a humourous but often sad look at life just after WW2 until the present.
