About the Author

Biography Milica-Melissa, professor of mathematics, was born in Belgrade in 1954. Her mother Mila, and her grandparents came to Serbia from Romania, where they used to run a chain of pastry-shops, and they continued the family business. Her father used to live and work in Paris, as a fashion tailor, and he opened his own fashion studio in Belgrade. She has a younger brother called Nikola. Early in her life, she discovered she had talent and passion for gymnastics, ballet and foreign languages. She was brought up in a patriotic and strict setting, but she has a strong adventuring spirit. She's traveled a lot throughout Europe, USA and Africa. She was the Serbian champion in gymnastics and one of the candidates for the Olympic Games in Munich. She finished high school and Math studies in Belgrade, as well as her post-graduate studies. She spent ten years teaching at the High School and College of Railroad Traffic in Belgrade. Her love of art and literature culminated with her opening a private gallery of paintings and a bookstore in Belgrade downtown, during the nineties. Later she started the business she's in today, running one of the first Real-estate agencies in Belgrade. The magnificent world of real estate: sales, evaluations, renting and investment, still has the most important place in her life and the life of her family. She loves art, opera, painting, tennis. She is also interested in mysteries, fantasy, magic and numerology. She practices Yoga and Pilates. She believes in the truth and the value of family: “A healthy family is the pillar of society.” She stands up for peace, equality and justice, regardless of religious beliefs. She's been writing for the past decade. She has published several expert papers and math problem collections. This is the first book she dedicated to her mother. She is married; with her husband, Marinko, she has two grown children, daughter Ana, and son, Philip.
