About the Book

You know how when you’re dreaming you often try to pull a fast one on your assailants? You know them, the ones that are always chasing you. You use smooth talk, disguises, and the oh so clever hiding, and ducking out of site, hoping they'll run right past you, but it never works out that way does it? Their always one step ahead of you, as if your very train of thought is open to them. They know your every move and as soon as you stop running, that's it. It’s over. You loose. You’re defeated. Dreams aren't like movies. If they were maybe we'd win once in a while. It's not your dreams fault, it’s yours. You give your mind the power and it encompasses you. Sometimes I think that dreams are closer to reality then actual reality. This book is a sum of poems both cheerful and dark written throughout the many trials of this author’s life.

About the Author

I'm a 20-year-old girl who grew up all over Canada and the United states until my family finally settled down is the small town of Burlington, Ontario when I was six. I went to high school at M.M. Robinson, It was there that I first realized my love for poetry. I'd always liked writing books as a child until i realized art was my real passion it wasn't till grade 12 hit and I had no English class to keep my mind from wandering, since I finished up with all my required English credits in Grade 11. It started out as an outlet and turned into an obsession. And now i just can't stop. I'll assure that I'm still writing poetry as you read this. As for the people that inspired these poems they for shall now remain nameless.
