About the Book

‘The world is ‘on loan’ to us whilst we are alive and we have a duty to hand it on to our children and grandchildren so that they too might enjoy its bounty and beauty’. Archbishop of Wales - The Most Reverend Dr. Barry Morgan. 'This book is dedicated to all the children of the world. Inspired by our mission to defend LIFE in all its forms. It is a gift to you - THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD'. Ocean Defender Ecuador. Sea StoRy - a charming tale set in the Galapagos Islands where two enchanting characters - a young sea lion called Aisha and a bottle nosed dolphin named Noa make friends. As they find out more about human activity in the seas, they question man’s intelligence when they come across the controversial practices of ‘by-catch’ and ‘shark finning’.

About the Author

The author: Jane Davies - graduated from the University of Wales (Bangor) in 1983 and soon after emigrated to Ecuador in South America. Thus began a 20 year adventure, a journey on both land and sea which was to make an impression on her to write and share her wonderful experiences. IGUANA TALES was inspired by these adventures - a compilation of stories and writings, donated by many who have been touched by the experience of the Galapagos Enchanted Isles. The illustrator: Patrick Sadzot - born in Belgium in 1963. Patrick studied illustration at St-Luc School of Art in Liège. He has worked as illustrator for various different advertising agencies and as background designer for different cartoon studios. Patrick is also a talented painter, sculptor and photographer. A note from the author: Having lived in many exceptional parts of the world including the Galapagos Islands and valuing the importance of education as a positive tool for change, I have dedicated much of my free time to a project which I set up some years ago called IGUANA TALES - a series of books compiled with the assistance of many with a common purpose - enlightening our children on how important it is to look after this wonderful world around us. “ Las Islas te encantan y después te botan...” Joe Towers. “...and then their magic draws you back again.” Jane Davies.
