Everything started to make sense to Sarah. The tattoo on his back and especially the scars. She glanced over to the demon dogs and then back to Jacob. She became so frightened for him that she stood up to protest.
" Jacob no."
But without turning around to face her, Jacob motioned with his hand for her to stop and to stay down.
" I'm going to enjoy turning you into white smoke in front of her." stated Seth. Jacob's eyes stayed fixed on his enemy and his jaw clenched, "Let us see if you have what it takes." They both charged at each other and the swords met with a loud crash. The primordial battle between good and evil was just beginning. Seth ferociously swung his sword trying desperately to injure Jacob. He had so much more power behind his weapon that it made him a formidable opponent compared to the demons. Jacob realized that he had to quickly adjust. Fighting a Fallen Angel would take everything he had. He managed to block every thrust until Seth's sword split into two seperate swords. When Jacob blocked one, the other slashed him on his forearm. Sarah gasped when she saw Jacob's arm bleeding. Then Seth stopped, taking time to savor the moment.

About the Book
Angelus is a novel about intense love, duty, and a testament of true friendship and family. It's really a love story, but I think many readers from Teens on up can relate to it, because everyone has to fight their inner demons and the difficulty of choosing right from wrong.
Jacob was created as a 7th level Angel whose existence becomes intertwined with Sarah's life. She is a human woman who was raised believing in Angels, but when her own Guardian Angel reveals himself to her, the adventure begins. They become torn between love and duty. So, the Dark Angels Samuel and Seth, along with a legion of Demons see their opportunity to force Jacob to fall.
Filled with fighting scenes and powers beyond imagining, one must wonder,... How far would you go to fight for love?
About the Author
Lydia Rodriguez-Clement, a native Texan, writes her first novel at the age of 39. She is married with five children and three Golden Retrievers. Her family life keeps her very busy, but she found time to write this novel which took her one year and two months. With only one year at Incarnate Word University, and two years at Palo Alto College, she took a chance on writing "Angelus."
