Trees
I look out of my window
All I can see
Is tree after tree
Waving at me
The beauty
The expanse
A plethora of green
They're huge
They're old
The history they hold
I expect they could tell a tale or two
If they could speak, and I only knew
The decades or centuries
As time has gone by
Still they are growing towards the sky
They wave in the wind
And smile in the sun
They feed in the rain
Displaying their leaves
Rich, green and delightful
But still they grow
And the more they know.

About the Book
This book is a compilation of poems from various themes written from the heart over the last two decades. Some of the poems are published and some recently written. I hope you enjoy reading these poems as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
About the Author
The Author, Theresa Hartley-Mace juggles working away as a nurse during the week with family and her passion for writing poetry. She has had hundreds of single poems published in various books. Two recent ones are 'Chemistry' published in 'For the Duration' and 'Trees' in 'To Pause a While'.
Her husband, Adrian has given her the encouragement and inspiration to write this poetry book.
The author wishes to convey a special thanks to her husband, Adrian for giving her the courage to finally put this book together.
