About the Book

Faith That Dominated Baghdad is true story of an American soldier, Chief Warrant Officer and Pastor who would not allow the circumstances of war dictate who God has called him to be. This book is about understanding the power of faith and that if you learn to live by faith that you can dominate every storm in your life no matter the size of the giant. The bloody war of Baghdad Iraq was a huge giant that stood before my purpose and would bring major storms my way to cut off my destiny to cause me to give in and quit.  In this book you will find out how faith when it is in it’s upright position can tear downs walls of intimidation, fear,  and hardship and guide you to the direction that you desire to go when you walk in faith and say only what the word of God says. I discovered by living by faith while major attacks are going on in your life and  even at war how you can through the words out of your mouth bring you the results that can only come when you believe what you say to come to pass. There are many that hear the gospel preached on Sunday mornings that are not getting the results that they deserve being a child of the most high God and consider themselves a Christian. What we will discover as I witnessed while serving my country and  preaching the gospel with power at Baghdad Iraq bringing souls to Christ under heavy fire attacks,  that the gospel can not profit you when it is not mixed with faith. Witness the power of faith as it shuts down an enemy rocket that lands in my sleeping quarters but falls short because faith was in the house.       

About the Author

Jeffery Mathews is a retired Chief Warrant Officer with the Alabama Army National Guard of twenty nine years of service as well as a Pastor who has embraced the challenges of war. He has utilized his God given gift of overcoming the setbacks, hard times, suffering and disappointments of life through the power of faith to dominate the circumstances even at war. Through his three failures at the Warrant Officer Academy when no one including his peers would ever think he could make it, his faith in his God allowed him to endure when it looked like all hope was gone. This same faith empowered him to rise at war above death. His story and his faith can cause you through faith to rise above the death of your marriage, career, finances, even your destiny.   He believes as an author and Pastor and one who has endured a most dangerous and bloody war in Baghdad Iraq during the time when the United States were losing an average of one hundred soldiers a month in death, that his message through the gospel can bring you insight to your real future in spite of a recession or any challenge in your life. This power packed man of faith was awarded the Bronze Star award for exceptional service while serving his country as a soldier while attacked day and night by mortar and rockets fired at him by the terrorist in attempt to shake his faith. He believes that the enemy is even right now firing attacks on the people of God to cause them to be shaken and lose hope, but through the power of real faith and understanding what real faith really is through this voice of faith  they are about to come into their greatest breakthrough ever witnessed in their life.
