THE PAINTING ON THE WALL
I am a painting on the wall, yes, that's me.
Splashed with beautiful colors for all the world to see.
I hang in my spot to brighten the room, to bring life where there is gloom...
Others stop by and stare at me. They try to figure me out,
"What exactly is it? Are those the true colors?” The room fills with doubt.
Sometimes I get tired of people talking about me, tired of being stuck in this one spot.
But if they stared long enough, my center core creates a plot...
I am just a painting on the wall, splashed with beautiful colors for all the world to see....
Only problem is, the colors hide the true me.
For underneath these colors lies my true beauty, underneath is where the true colors lie.
Yet, no one dares to pick me... they just stare and walk on by….
IT IS TIME TO REMOVE THE PAINTING……

About the Book
This is a heartfelt, God centered, revelation of the author’s path out of depression. After being told devastating news at a vulnerable time during her early teen years, she was shocked into a deep depression. This was an emotion that she felt she had no legitimate way to express. Poems and short essays chronicle this indomitable woman’s journey. The author finds her direction is determined in her acceptance of God’s guidance in her life. She embraces her calling and steps forth as an editor and publisher of a successful magazine that builds up the community and strengthens the bonds of Christian kinship across many forms of expression.
About the Author
Angell Marcella Davis was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She now resides in Jacksonville, FL. with her beautiful 17 year old daughter. She has a degree in Network Administration/Programming and has pursued her writing since her childhood years. She is the owner and editor of N-to-U Magazine (pronounced Into You), a Spiritual-based magazine based outside of Jacksonville, FL and surrounding cities. Her writings have won her several awards through-out her lifetime, but the most notable was being the recipient of the 2008 Gospel Announcers Guild Award for Excellence in a Magazine.
Angell considers herself a very spiritual person and believes that nothing is possible without God, so each day she gives thanks for every breath she takes. She has always been a visionary and has a passion for going after her dreams. "Whether I win or lose, I am satisfied with the fact that I tried, and you never fail when you try." This book, "Removing The Painting," is her first published book and she is due to release a fiction novel entitled "The Daisy," within the following year.
