covering the beast in humans,
remove the garment
and the beast will jump out.
THE SHADOW PICKER
A grey-haired man
was busy picking up shadows
in his house, instead of picking up the objects.
A young boy was busy observing him
from the road.
He walked to the man and said:
“Sir, why do you pick the shadows?”
The man stood up and said:
“The shadow is real.
The object is real.
Boy, define your reality.”
THE LIES BEHIND THE LOVE
Love is the lie
behind our motives.
Test love with truth
and it runs away naked.
Love is the price we pay
for the goods we need.
Give love for free,
and it declares bankruptcy.
Love is the fantasy
to escape our realities.
Test love with realities
and it turns into vapor.
Love is the joy
from our expectations.
Test love with disappointments
and it sues for divorce.
Love is the gain
we expect from others.
Test love to losses
and it cries out in pain.
Love is the comfort
in our comfort zone.
Test love with discomfort
and it draws out the gun.
Love is the fleeting passion
the soul glimpses in a perfect world.
Test love with imperfection
and it somersaults without stopping.
