The Journey

Deception starts from a belief system, and belief systems guide our choice-making. Our choice-making determines the life we will experience.

Let’s look at the situation from this cliché: “Don’t hate the playa; hate the game.” Just so you understand every game has rules of how it’s played. Now, the question is: what are the rules to this game we find ourselves playing? Notice I said find ourselves playing, because we don’t always willingly choose to play. Sometimes, we end up in the game by default. Therein lies the problem. We are playing a game, first of all, that we have not agreed or chosen to play. Secondly, we are uncertain of how to play the game or what the rules are, and thirdly, we are unaware that we are even in the game until we are broken. As far as the rules go in this game, it has no rules and no boundaries. So you can’t win in this game.  However, God’s kingdom will always have boundaries, laws created for our success.  God designed His kingdom for blessing us and keeping us safe. But this game consists of making up the rules as you go along just to win.  The following is the mindset of the player: “What was done to me, I will do to you!”  Whether they know it or not, the mindset is: “I will get you before you get me. I will lie better, cheat greater, manipulate smoother, and get the best out of you before you realize you’re in the game and have been got!”  The other rules or bullet-points to the game depend on the city or state you come from; however, those are the top five. As you can see, the game is not about any particular person; it is a government. This “Governing Society Structure” teaches those that come under it by controlling the mind. Once a mind is controlled, it loses the freedom to respond outside of the Governing Society Structure system.

God has put laws in the creation of the world in which we live, and if I am not in harmony with these laws, I won’t get the desired results. For example, gravity is one of the laws under which we live. So, if I jump off a five-story building, not being in harmony with the law of gravity, I could very well kill myself. But, if I get in a two-thousand pound airplane that has thrust and lift, working in harmony with the law of gravity, it will result in flight.  Here is the deception: believing I can stay under the old influence/government that I was taught by the authorities in my life (before coming to God) and believing I could still be blessed.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6 NIV).

We need to learn, accept, and live by this real order of influence/government. The rules are different under the shoulders of God’s government. These rules bring safety, protection, order, justice, and consideration, and most importantly, they are no respecter of persons.  No matter the color of your skin, your status in life, your position in life, or to whom you are connected, you can have justice and ultimately God’s success. This justice creates safety in a real approach, which is filled with great compassion and love for all, knowing that God is no respecter of persons. Once your mind is renewed and harmonized with the mind of Christ, living under the new government and entering the rest in the power of the Almighty God are yours.

Paul said, “I beat my body to make it my slave” (1 Corinthians 9:27).   We go through a season of tearing down to rebuild, or uprooting to replant for a new harvest. What kind of beating do you believe Paul meant? He was beating his body to become a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only; he was renewing the mind. Self-discipline or the process of putrefaction is the death before a rebirth can take place. Only then can one rise into one’s true spiritual self and obtain his created essence.  This learning the mastery of the flesh, walking in self-control and patience, is just the beginning of this great mystery of oneness. The quintessence of the self comprises overcoming the four elements of the universe, which are within the body as well: earth, water, air, and fire. Mastering these elements within gives one the power to the outer elements as well, and this power allows one to enter the highest level of maturity. Earth represents the sensations of the flesh, material riches, and things of this realm. Water represents feelings, emotions, and what is unformed. Air represents intuition or spirit as well as your creativity, and fire represents thinking, desire, love, passion, and ego. “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it” (Revelation 2:17 KJV).
