When the hot buttered cinnamon toast got to the table, both Alexis’s and Bailey’s eyes grew so big. After each bite of the toast, they would take a drink of ice-cold milk. After taking a sip of the milk to wash down the cinnamon toast, they would take the little napkin out of their laps and wipe their mouths. While sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast, Alexis and Bailey would look out the window to watch the birds flying and squirrels playing. After a little while, both Alexis and Bailey were all done eating breakfast. Alexis and Bailey both took their plates and cups and put them in the sink. They passed by the trash can and dropped in their napkins. Mommy said, “Thank you, girls, for cleaning up.”

About the Book
Alexis and Bailey “Honk! Honk! We're at the Beach House,”, is about two sisters (Alexis 5yrs., and Bailey 4yrs.) who love going to the beach house on the weekend. The book starts from when Alexis and Bailey wake up on Friday morning, and follows their daily routine until they finally reach their destination - “The Beach House”. The book shows the love Alexis and Bailey have for one another, their hard work in school, good manners, to be kind, and respect others.
About the Author
Niel R. Svendsen is a divorced parent of two beautiful daughters, Alexis and Bailey. Niel has read and researched many books and seminars since his divorce on single parenting, and realizes the powerful figure that a father is to a daughter.
When Niel has his daughters, he always as activities planned that are fun, loving and will help build a strong character for them later in life. Activities that include, fishing, trips to the zoo, trips to museums, vacations, cooking, homework and the list goes on. Not only producing great memories for his daughters, but also teaches them the rewards of working hard, doing well in school, and to help others.
One thing Niel emphasizes with his daughters is to always enjoy what you do, be kind, and help others when you can.
His childhood memories of family vacations, dinners at the kitchen table, birthday parties and playing sports, made him realize his perfect childhood needed to be past along to his daughters.
When Niel is not with his daughters he enjoys fishing, golf, cooking, listening to music, reading, photography, and running. Niel runs marathons for enjoyment, and always runs for a cause – to raise money for children organizations. He is not out to break any world records, but to make sure he can help someone along the way and finish the marathon.
