When we arrived at Kenyatta stadium in Kisumu, it was so full that entering inside wasn’t easy. We met Dan’s old friends who felt very sorry for him. Because they were ushers, they helped to lead us where the sick people were seated. I was surprised to see one of Dan’s brother who was also among the ushers, looking at us from very far. He didn’t came near us at all. when he realized that I had seen him, he squat down and looked at us through the umbrella a lady was holding like he was hiding. I told Dan about it and he felt very offended until he started shedding tears.
Reinhard Bonkee started preaching mainly about salvation from the book of John 3:16. ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.’ He added that if the son of God sets you free, you become free indeed. Then he gave a parable of two boys who used to work in a hotel as waiters. One boy was hungry, so he went to the kitchen, took a peace of chicken, and ate it without permission. When the other boy saw him, he threatened him that he would report him to the manager. The boy who stole a peace of chicken pleaded with him not to report because he feared to loose his job. Finally they agreed that the boy who stole the chicken should work two shifts, his and for the friend. He started working day and night as the friend just earned free money. After awhile, he got tied and complained to the friend who again threatened to report him to the manager. That went on for a while until the boy who stole the chicken got so tired that he could not hold it anymore. He went to the manager and asked for forgiveness after telling him the whole story. He was forgiven and told to continue with the work. Now he didn’t work for the friend, he was free from guilt.
When the friend found out that the boy who stole the chicken didn‘t work for him, he teased him again that he would report him to the manager. But the boy who had stolen a piece of chicken told him that the manager had already forgiven him, and he was free from the friend’s bondage.
Bonkee continued encouraging us to be set free from Satan’s bondage, because God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to set us free and free indeed. He also quoted Mathew-11:28-29 ‘Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls.’
He ended the sermon by telling a story of an old wise man, whom everybody trusted and respected in his village. A young boy heard about his stories and fame, so he went to trick him. He took a butterfly into his palms well covered, went to the wise old man and asked him, “Is it dead or alive?” The wise old man answered him that the decision is in your palms. You can let it go or kill it. The preacher told us to decide, either to accept Jesus Christ to save our lives or to remain in sin, because the final decision is in our heart.
The word of God convicted me, and I surrendered all my sins to Jesus, because the burdens were too heavy for me. I thank God because Jesus carried them for me. For sure I found myself light. Another veil was lifted from my face. I repented all my sins and started a new walk with Jesus. Even though my husband’s eyes were not healed, he got a spiritual healing and I got a miracle of salvation. I praise God to have changed my life.

It is very interesting to know that our faces are covered by so many thin veils, that God Himself lifts for us to see what is happening in the spiritual world.
The pivotal part in this book is the instant miracle God performed in Esther’s life. That was her biggest turning point, and she encourages people who are not certain about miracles, that they are real, and they still happen
