Enduring pain and anxiety I suffer And give a frantic cry fro help Without the shedding of a single tear I'm drowning and not giving a single wave My heart is heavy My soul weeps And my will to push on dwindles You can see it in my eyes Behind a glistening blank stare You can hear it in my voice In its piercing shallow pitch But unless you see me with your heart And you listen with a purpose My cry will continue to go unheard And I will continue to drown in my hidden tears Which will never be dried

About the Author
I have always enjoyed words for as long as I could remember. I guess it started with my learning to read as early as four years old. From then on words held a special meaning to me. They allowed me a place of escape when I needed one, and even when I didn't. As I grew and matured, I found that I could even create my own escape with words, so that's what I did. I took what the world dealt to me and created lasting moments expressed in words I could not speak, yet felt with such power. I used my writing to make for myself pathways where others could follow. Some were dark and filled with sadness, while others were bright and filled with moments of joy. All were moments for learning. And through them all God shined His light and led me to the other side. Though I believe I am still finding my true spiritual self, I thank God for His patience, guidance and grace. To all who travel these pathways with me, I hope you also find the journey a wonderful and memorable experience.
