Poppy, a child star, who always wanted to be normal visits her mum to celebrate her birthday, but devastating news break her celebration and change her world for ever. Her dad, a professional gambler has gambled her life, for his safety. But living a normal life isn’t picture perfect, Poppy realises this as an important life is lost… ‘When she had finished, Poppy went to her table and looked in the mirror. It was so unfair; all she ever wanted was to be normal. Once when she was small, she saw a shooting star, she’d closed her eyes and wished with all her heart that she could play with the colourful children who always seemed so happy and friendly, but nothing had ever happened to her.’
