“I found it in the back, an old parchment page,” said Nick, barely able to control his excitement. “I’ll bet even the head librarian doesn’t know it was in there.”

“Shut up and let me see what you’re talking about,” said Monty impatiently. Nick thumbed to the back page of the dust old book and there under the paper backing of the book cover was a thin, razor-sharp tear the length of the binding. Nick carefully slipped his finger in and pulled out an ancient yellowed piece of paper. He looked around to make sure no one was watching him and he unfolded the document for Monty to see.

The title on the top of the page in letters larger than the rest, read in unmistakable words:  "The Legend of Sirus Grandview."

   The story I’m telling to the young and the old

Gives the secret location of my hard-earned gold.

My gold’s not a gift, you’ll earn every coin,

If you’re careless and greedy, the dead you will join!

Right under my nose is the best place to start,

The journey is not for those faint of heart.

By bringing an eight-inch white tapered Ghost Candle.

The ghost candle goes in it’s own special niche,

For if I can’t see, you’ll get nothing, capiche?

Just out of my grasp place the dead man’s hand,

If you’ve done it right, your reward will be grand.

If you’ve done it all wrong I might give you a clue,

Just look at me closely, you’ll know what to do.
