The reader will find out more about the political lifestyle of some Italian politician through out the eyes of a simple citizen. These kind of people especially the ones that work closely to the Prime Minister, here the Author makes especial description about Marcello (fictional name) pointing out, how hard and miserable life can be, by working and spending his life close to an Italian Prime Minister and at the end to realize that all what he has done, all his life spent close to him and all the hard work was not even worth it
Here the author describes Marcello's live who has spent most of his life working close to the Prime Minister , living at the same his sucessful and failure periods of government where Marcello was always near to him, supporting and giving all his time and energy for the best of his Prime Minister and as usual living behind his shadow.

The book describes an evident lifestyle by some Italian politicians whose job is to work closely to the Prime Minister rather then really working for the sake of citizens, but, one of the things that the author writes about these people is that they don't realize how miserable their life can be, when they have to spend all their life for the sake of a self-centre man which he has no respect for the job of others. Here the book describes the Marcello's life and work, who has spent almost all his life working close and always living and working behind his shadow. .. At the end he has realized that dedicating and spending all his life and energies it does not worth all what he has done.
