Introduction

The book is about guilty till proven innocent, because they can, (what a government agency of Broward County did to us).

I am telling you what everyone should know and that you will be able to prevent this from happening to you.

Don’t let them do this to you “Because They Can”.

I was unable to tell this part of my story sooner because this government agency had us sign an agreement that all records were to be closed and hidden for 10 years.

When you read that section of the book you will have a better understanding of my above statement.

I have saved all of the newspaper articles as to what was said by government officials and their agencies to document what I have said through out the book.

WE NEEDED CLOSURE.

I also included stories from our lives.

When writing a book,

The first draft writing usually comes from the heart

The second draft is from the head

I am giving you a slice of life.

I have taken information out of various law journals when referring to legal terminology.

I am writing this book consisting of compelling events that have happened to my wife Eileen and myself over the years. I have told these stories of our experiences to friends over the years in our lives that were always interesting, entertaining, humorous and sometimes frightening. To make these stories understandable, I found it necessary to describe the period of time as well as the location where the story took place. This will enable the reader to understand and appreciate the hardships the Manfredonia and the Cuoommo families were faced with.

Our lives have been an amazing journey and I would like to take you on that journey. This book is an autobiography and in parts of the book I used a pseudonym of names, characters, places and incidents that took place in connection with the venture we took into the Auto Loan Industry. They are a product of the author’s imagination and are used factitiously. Any resemblance to actual events, locals, or persons, living or dead is entirely coincidental. I wanted to protect those who may have been involved from embarrassment. The events pertaining to Vincent and Ann Cuoommo and Sal and Eileen Manfredonia are factual.

In life, sometimes you have to head straight into the pain to come out on the other side in order to get to the comfort zone. If I was going to live in anger, then all would have been lost. I needed to find closure for myself, and that is the purpose of me writing this book
