About the Book
The author ran away to see the world and find who he really was. Always willing to do things on the edge, he discovers who he is and what the meaning of life is to him. From friendships to challenges in the Navy's Underwater Demolition Team to hunting in Alaska, to his marriage and children all helped to shape him.
About the Author
The sole purpose of this book is to give his children and grandchildren the chance to relive his memories in order to know who he was and is now. Jerry was from a first generation Norwegian family of the 1940's. His father died of cancer when he was five years old. Raised by a caring, loving mother dealing with her alcoholism, the closeness of his brother, and the anger for the world that he felt, all added to who he became. He dealt with these struggles by rebeling and running away until he found himself and security. He is now happily settled in Louisiana with his wife, four children and ten grandchildren.
