About the Book

‘WELLSPRINGS: Poems of Life & Nature’, is the largest collection of works by the author. It is a meditation on life as experienced by him and his subjects, and the human condition as observed by him.

The poems are deeply contemplative and introspective. They are celebratory and vividly evocative of memorable moments, past and present. Wherever perplexing philosophical themes are treated, this is invariably done with sanguineness and in a redemptive tone. They are delightfully laden with allusions, are lyrically innovative and brimful of feelings.

These poems will appeal to a broad section of poetry enthusiasts.

About the Author

The author was born and grew up in the mesmeric Indian Ocean island of Mauritius. He has spent his later years in England, and settled there .He has for long been living in the vicinity of the Royal Bushy Park, next to the Hampton Court Palace, and which is an endless source of his poetic inspiration. He is married with 4 sons.

He has studied at Kingston University and London University. He is a Member of the UK Poetry Society, the Royal Society of Literature and is a Fellow of a number of distinguished institutions in the UK.

His passion for the English Language, for English Literature and especially English Poetry has been evident from his early life and has remained deep-rooted. This passion, combined with his perennial love of Nature, has continued to predispose him poetically and has sustained his spirit through the many vicissitudes of his life.
