The perfect plan
Ruth understands exactly what she must do, and she realises the importance of the task ahead. This is `make or break time' and she is determined to succeed. I can see Ruth now, dressed for success, her young body perfumed and clad in her best clothes, her hair and makeup carefully done without flaw. If she had been going to a ball, I am sure she definitely would have been in the Cinderella category.
She follows Naomi's instructions exactly and lies down at Boaz's feet. You can imagine the scene at midnight when Boaz turns over in his sleep and is startled to discover a live, warm and sexy woman at his feet. He hears the rustle of her best clothes, smells the allure of her feminine scent and feels the softness of her body against his feet.
He is already in a mellow mood brought on by the copious amount of wine he has just consumed and is even more excited when he realises that it is Ruth at his feet. Remember, he is already attracted to her, and he has given her much favour. We do not know if he ever intended to make a move on Ruth; maybe he was planning to but was simply not ready yet. Ruth's actions, though, are designed to speed up the process and to offer a little subtle encouragement.
In this cosy, physical position, she begins a conversation with him. She makes full use of the fact that he has a full stomach, is merry from the wine and now has a beautiful, sexy woman at his feet ready to do his bidding. What more could a man want?
Ruth, however, has a clear outcome in mind and is ready to pursue it. She strikes up a conversation with him, and it is during the course of this dialogue that she brings up the issue of kinship rights and asks him to take her under his wing as a close relative under those rights. She holds her breath, her heart beats faster and faster, and her mouth feels dry and parched as she anxiously awaits his reply. This is the moment of truth; this will tell her whether her efforts have all been in vain.
She need not have worried, though, because she was pretty much onto a winner at the start. She already has so many things going for her. She is seeking a way to move her life on and to survive through this difficult situation. She is not aware of the great plan God has for her as she awaits Boaz's decision to accept her, but she senses that she is on the brink of walking into the destiny for which she was created.

About the Author
Bev Thomas-Graham Lives in South London with her husband and children. This book has been written as a reflection of her own spiritual journey and her unrelenting quest for truth as she unravels the differences between the religious customs she was brought up with and actual Biblical truths. She well known as a very down to earth person,with a bubbly personality and great sense of humour and fun. She currently teaches Theology part time and sits on the management board for a Theological College. She has also taught and presented to various audiences in London and abroad. Bev is also involved in many community initiatives especially those related to human rights, asylum & refugee issues, equalities, Youth, gun/knife crimes and women's issues.
Over the years she has worked in many different fields including, Project Management, Education & Training, Business Mentoring & Consultancy.
For the last 14 years or so Bev has served as a local Justice of the Peace / Magistrate in her local court and is also a mentor for new Magistrates.
