MY TRUE BEST FRIEND
A friend is someone who is always there
in my time of need
helping any way they can
without acknowledgement of the deed.
They won’t ask for any payment,
as assistance is freely given
and never keeps track of favors
as their intentions are heartfelt driven.
The ultimate friend would give their life
to save mine in the end.
I do believe I would have to say
this type of love, only God can send.
There is only one I can count on
until the very end,
Yes, that would be my Lord and Savior,
who is truly my best friend.

The middle daughter of three girls, whose mother was a stay at home mom, who influenced her with poetry, music and the arts.
Dad was a hardworking man, instilling a strong work ethic as well as faith and moral values in each of his children.
A combination of family, friends and acquaintances, along with health issues, loss of loved ones and daily challenges of life contributed to these special poems.
