SCROPE HALL

We moved to our right and followed the moat around all the while examining the trees for signs of Scrope’s blood.   We continued to follow the moat and finally came to a farm track and when we turned and looked at Scrope Hall it became clear that this track had been the main access road to the Hall when it was occupied all those years ago.   Pops moved towards a large pine tree and there about ten feet above the ground was a large, reddish brown stain which looked as if it could have been Scrope’s final resting place.
