About the Book

The accident was as unexpected as the re-percussions.

Tom spent months in hospital in a coma His wife Rebecca visits him every day. She tries, to adjust to her altered life in their lovely house overlooking Colinton Dell. Her new dog helps combat the loneliness and she keeps up her usual activities - golf, with the ladies at Kingsknowe Golf Club, her book group and church.

Tom eventually emerges from the coma and tries to resume a normal life with Rebecca. They walk the dog along the river through the Dell, talking about their beautiful garden, days gone by and journeys taken.

They dream about new places to visit — if Tom is allowed to travel.

However, Tom suffers a recurrent nightmare, which begins to have a serious impact on the whole family and with a serial killer in the area Tom gets into more trouble. Will Rebecca be able to cope with his secretive and, sometimes odd behaviour? Tom has changed.

Set in Colinton, a village south west of Edinburgh, this is a thriller and love story about faith and village life with a surprising twist in the tale, compelling the reader to turn the pages to discover the outcome to each new revelation.
