Dripping Honey is the story of a young boy’s obsession with the arrival of black American GIs into his hometown in 1942. He experiences the infectious energy and distinctive rhythms imported by the visitors and recounts the excitement, confusion, sexual tension and racial confrontation which disrupt the stark routine of working class family life.

About the Author

The author was born and bred in Burton-on-Trent and now lives in Guildford close to his two daughters and two sons.
