About the Book

This is a must-read book for inquisitive minds, those with big ideas in the collaborative foundations of Public Administration and Public Policy. It is a book of building and improving public service, current issues and best practices in managing local government Administration, budget fiscal responsibility, servant leadership, and the rampant culture of corruption in the African system of government. It is a book of learning from the practice of American Public Administration, Public Policymaking; and a practical example of African inept leadership in management of the Public Administrative sector that includes thought-provoking normative arguments; a book that creates a powerful learning instrument for students of research methodology; a reference book for adult learners and researchers; a book that can bring each person’s life experiences to share, and allow them to open their minds as they read the book with innovative public leadership development in mind.

He is one of the few goodhearted people, who has gone beyond a charitable organization role; Chief Dr. Mgbeke has held several leadership positions while in the Navy including Supply Software Application Support Analyst, Life Cycle Support Analyst, Acting Division Officer, Leading Chief Petty Officer, and training users of the Pacific Fleet. Dr. Mgbeke graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Science Administration and with a Doctorate degree in Public Policy and Administration. Dr. Mgbeke is humbled by the number of challenges he was able to overcome. I write this book in memory of my parents who always seen education as an investment necessary for a good start in early childhood development. I believe that learning is a treasure that follows its owners everywhere. They taught me that hard work, dedication, perseverance, and commitment to your dream will always prevail. I always believe that a fulfilled life is not how you started, but how you finished. I thank almighty God for making this possible. If you think that “education is not attainable, think of the alternative-which is ignorance.”  Dr. Mgbeke is married with two wonderful sons.
