I was serving the evening meal on Captain Millers Table when he said something I didn't agree with so I tipped a plated meal over his head, as soon as I did it, I thought oh no what have I done.
I remember his dinner peas included going all down his lovely uniform, he looked shocked, then the rest of his Table started to laugh, then he did, I ran from the Dining Room, he went to change.
A few days later I got a Telephone call, it was him asking for a date, he and a couple of Officer's were lodging in a house at Porth, which is just outside Newquay.
The house was beautiful, the were other American Officers lodging there, the food and treats were wonderful, I hadn't seen sweets like that, obviosly they wern't rationed like the English were.

This is a book about my memories of being a waitress during ww2 up to where I am at present, I think ww2 is still very much in the public eye, and I think this will prove interesting to the buyer.

Now she is 82 and still has her memories, she would like to share a part of her life with you.
