I take enormous risks in my business, buying say £10,000 of cattle with money I don’t really have and crossing all my fingers and toes that I can sell them again for maybe £10,500. The buzz is good though, win or lose.
Then there’s gambling……serious gambling; huge sums of money. Started small but got very big. But once again ‘the buzz.' Nothing but nothing sends the adrenalin coursing through me like a winner coming from last to first. Or the winner that leads from post to post and that feeling as if I were on its back instead of the jockey.
However, Annita, my real problem is the most shameful. This is where I’m going to struggle to explain because when you hear about it you will automatically form your opinions, but these will more than likely be wrong. It’s women, Annita, dozens of them, almost all married women. Sex, normally yes, but not always. It is so complex…..Ah, I’ve said enough for now.’...."

After a few years as under manager of the world’s biggest potato merchants, he farmed for a 20 year period in his own right. A surprising deviation in his life saw him working in the life assurance industry and thereby he soaked up more of the ‘stuff’ which makes up ‘the theatre of life.’
He laughs a lot and maybe has proved the saying, ‘laugh and grow fat’ – because he is a bulky chap. Once introduced to an audience as ‘This larger than life fellow.’
