About the Book

A poetic exploration through the ages is presented with modern flare, lighting up pages of light and dark, good and bad, in Venom and Nectar by Stefan Lowry. Showcasing the wonder of a thriving past and connecting to the stem of today, the themes and words in this collection are backdropped by cultures from east to west via several shifting movements (chapters) such as Haunts Amid Dark Blooms, and Bells of Change. Venom and Nectar infuses the art that blends poetry with character, history, and haunting plots from the ancient to new world. From the landscapes of Europe, to the Middle East, and Marco Polo to Apollo, this collection introduces Stefan's readers to vast new themes. Poems include: Voom Voom, Snow Over the Tuileries, Hey Mr. Fedora, Prayer of the Phoenicians, Children's Canticle, Apollo's Fire Dance, Chimes of Change, Procession of the Flying Seahorses, From the Guernica Mission, and the thundering opener CHOIR. Venom and Nectar is a literary painting of figures, expression, and beauty all woven into a rich tapestry of layers for the reader to unravel.
