Told through the eyes of Melanie, the daughter, 'Moonshine Darling,' is a heart-rending account of her mother's slow decent into mental illness, as a direct result of her father's cruelty.
Based on true-life, there is something in this story for everyone, as it deals with everyday issues such as; love, loss, relationships, identity, gender roles, domestic violence, to name but a few, yet it is littered with sentiments and expressions of love and humour all the way through. About the Author
Born in the early '60s, Jacqueline Parchment grew up in Hackney London where she lived for over thirty-five years. She now resides in Waltham Forest. She is the mother of three grown up children and has been in the profession of education for almost twenty years.
