CHAPTER XIX
Detective Watkins and Russ had just gotten the information that they needed from the nurse Gossip and was now on the elevator. Watkins looked at Russ and stated with a keen sense of arrogance, "Yo, ain't that Sadie chick fucking that ole punk Renegade or whatever the fuck they call his dreadlocked ass?" He pushed 3 on the elevator's key panel and waited for it to start moving upward.
"Yeah, I think you're right, so let’s hurry up and get to the bitch before the rest of the crew gets to her and try to hide her or some shit, you know how them fucking street monkeys can try to grow 2 brain and shit." Russ then pulled out a fresh cigar and lit it up with no regard for the hospital's policy. He was the law dammit, and if somebody approached him on some bullshit, he would just lock their funky asses up for interfering with an investigation! He walked out of the elevator on the third floor and stood next to his partner, eyes darting around like inspector fucking Gadget!
Watkins saw them first, three black females running around like they were children. His eyes immediately landed on the one with the hospital gown on. As soon as their eyes met, she froze and just starred back at him as if to say oh shit!
Sadie's mind flash backed to the night that she had first seen him. He and Renegade had gotten in a brutal fight over 2 murder investigations that the state had no solid evidence on in which to even take Renegade downtown for questioning. The detective had just went on a hunch, landing him at Renegade's residence, where they immediately locked horns, resulting in Renegade getting mace and drugged down to the station anyway, only to be released 3 long hours later after a bullshit interrogation.
"Sadie, just the lady that I came to see, By the way pretty lady, they made a song about you, on of my favorites too." He stated it sarcastically, yet a smile never surfaced on Watkins thin dark face. His eyes were as dark and as cold as death was, giving Sadie the chills!
Sadie started to run, but the detective's eyes were so frightening looking that she didn't trust her legs to perform such a daring feat. She had seen him in action before, he was as quick and brutal as an agitated hyena.
Bianca and Linda walked back to Sadie and stood on each side of her. Bianca hadn't seen the thin detective before, but she had definitely seen the chubby one so many times at her crib fucking with her man, Gangsta Boy. She cut her eyes at his fat, black ass, wanting to walk up to him and spit in his fucking face! From the grin on his face, she knew that if she did, his black ass would probably try to lick it off.
Linda didn't know either one of them, from the looks that her people were giving the dark men in their expensive suits; she knew that whoever they were- it wasn't good. She just stood next to her peeps, looking around from face to face. "Damn!" she said to herself silently, "Where the fuck is all the damn nurses and doctors at?" It seemed as if they had all went on break at the same fucking time!
Detective Russ hit his cigar hard and deep, letting the smoke back out with contemptuous speed. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Gangsta Boy's bitch too!" His chubby belly seemed to roll with a dance. Then he did the unspeakable. He pulled out his .38 special and pointed it straight at Bianca and with that being done, he began to walk closer to her, his partner right beside him with his Glock .45 out!
Sadie thought about screaming but quickly thought against it, for she understood that these were men of the law and her screams would only irritate them!
Watkins quickly pulled out a pair of handcuffs with his free hand. "Turn around Sadie, you're under arrest for fucking Renegade, and if you want a lawyer-Fuck You!!" He spunt her around roughly and snapped the cuffs on her so fast that Sadie didn't even realize that it had been done.

About the Author
Reginald Kornegay and his buisness partner Tone Capone met for the fist time while in prison. Reginald had just sold his first novel titled, "The Testimony" to Teri Woods Publishing while still in prison. At that point in his writing career, he had already written twelve novels and three screenplays, adaptions to three of his novels. and so with the success of his first novel "The Testimony" already being sold to a high profile publishing company, he felt that it was time to self publish. Anthony Capone Worthington, a native of Panama read Reginald Kornegay's newest, handwritten novel titled, "Memoirz Of A Stick Up Kid!" and along with the rest of the over populated prison camp, became blown away with what he read. They were both released six months later and immediately upon their release they self published 500 copies of "Memoirz Of A Stick Up Kid!" And in just two weeks all of the novels were sold out of the trunk of Anthony Worthington's car, which ultimately landed them in the hands of Author House Publishing. The screenplay to "Memoirz Of a Stick Up Kid!" is now in the negoitiation process with film directors, Hype Williams and John Singleton.
