Niesha stared at Live as he slept and she couldn’t help but wondering how long this was going to go on? She understood how the streets worked she had a father, brothers uncles and cousins but she did not like what she was seeing. Every since Wahlils dad passed Live has been staying out extra late not spending time with her or their son and he’s smoking more than he usually does. She didn’t like it, but out of respect for him being a man she would give him a little more time before she got in his ass, little man runs in the room and was ready to jump on his dad but right before he could his mom catches him in mid flight, not right now Jabar daddy’s sleep, little man says “daddy always sleeping why he so tired mommy?” Niesha says to herself “damn, Live you’re going to have to get your shit together even your son knows something isn’t right.” She carries little man out of the room, sits him down at the table so he can eat his breakfast, she walks back in the bedroom to finish doing her hair, and as she looks in the mirror she notices Lives phone blinking on and off. Niesha always gave Live his space and truly believed that he wouldn’t cheat on her or do no dumb shit but the way he’s been acting lately has her concerned on all points she goes over to the nightstand and is about to check his phone and listen to his messages when he slowly opens his eyes and stretches, “what you doing babe getting ready for work?” she doesn’t answer him right away she’s still contemplating what she was about to do then she snaps out of it and says “your son wants to know why his daddy is sleep all the time, Tevarus what is going on with you?” Live tells Niesha he doesn’t feel like hearing this shit right now he has a long day and he doesn’t want it fucked up before it starts. She looks at him in a way you would look at a mutha fucka that just said some dumb ignorant shit. And replies “o.k. we don’t have to talk about it now, but remember this nigga when it’s too late to talk about,” and walks out the room. After little man is done eating she tells him to get his jacket and say goodbye to his dad it’s time for them to go. Little man runs over to his dad and says “bye daddy, love you” “I love you to man." Yo Niesh, Niesha looks at him and says “Tevarus I don’t know what’s going on with you because you wont talk to me, but I hope you know what your doing, your son even notices something different about you. I shouldn’t have to tell you that this isn’t good for us, we need you here it’s time to leave that life behind and grow up. I don’t know whether your trying to go jail, get killed or what, but every since Wahlil’s dad got murdered you haven’t been acting right. Live don’t forget where your home is and what you do out in the street doesn’t just affect you it affects all of us, please don’t forget that, just think about what I said I got to go to work, I love you.” “I love you to baby.” He gave her a kiss, as he gently touched her face and told her everything was going to be alright then her and little man walked out the door. Live wasn’t dumb worth a fuck, and if Niesha said he wasn’t acting right then he knew not to question it, just take her word for it and get that shit back on point. He sat on the couch rolled a hazy, and just thought about the whole situation, and came to the conclusion that this shit had to be over and done with in about a week.
