Deep And Dark

As the Channel 7 remote crew marched back to the uplink truck, Gianni said, "I guess we're gonna have to camp out again.  We'll call it a 'bivouac'".  Smitty lay down on the ground, muttering, 'We'll fight 'em in the trenches, we'll fight 'em on the shore.  We'll never give up...'  Jaych , having rolled out her sleeping bag near the truck on the other side from Smitty, who snored, stood in line for the 'public facility' chatting with the other women, when a lovely young woman approached. "Éxcuse me, my name is Dawndi Larramore.  I'd like to talk to you about a missing person, my half brother."  Jaych moved up a place in line.  "Listen, I'm just a weather girl.  I had some luck one time with a cold case.  Just luck, nothing more.  Have you talked to the police or highway patrol?  They have the resources to..."  "We've tried everything.  My mother is getting older and this is weighing on her mind, a lot.   The police say there is nothing they can do......it's been 30 years....please...."

"Well, I really......." 

 "Ah, com'on!!!  give it a shot!  Don't you get bored just watching clouds?" a girl in cutoff jeans and a T-shirt with a confederate flag on the back and 'REBELS ARE GREAT BANGERS' on the front said as she went into the latrine. 

"Wellll......   how old is your brother?  When did you see him last?"      Things are gettin' sorta dull.............
