About the Book

Leaving a legacy was something discussed in our last Bible study that really spoke to my heart.  I dont think legacy necessarily has to be an extravagant monetary inheritance.  For me, I wanted to leave my daughter something from my heart that I am hopeful she will carry in her heart forever.

This book is about my beginnings as a Christian, a wife, mother, step-mother, and aspiring Chef.  Were all given gifts to use purposefully in this life and Ive chosen to use mine to show love, build bonds and cultivate relationships.   I am currently enrolled in the culinary program at Fairmont State University with the hopes of completing my education to become a Chef.  These recipes are successful experiments, each with a memory attached.

This is the legacy Im choosing to leave to my daughter.  Ive used opportunities in the kitchen as a classroom of sorts to teach, guide and create memories to cherish.  We all love food and God has blessed me with the ability to prepare it well and love doing it.  About seven years ago, a seed was planted in my heart to pursue my dream and I began praying about it.  I believe my answer was given to me two years ago when my desire to publish this book formed.

I am prayerful and hopeful, that whoever chooses to give these recipes a try will enjoy them as thoroughly as we did and still do today.  Each one was created in love with the fun-filled, playful spirit that God has given me.

About the Author

Theresa A. Hill is a lifelong resident West Virginia. She grew up in the small town of Clarksurg where she was raised by a single mother after her older brother and two sisters were grown.  Theresa's father was killed in an automobile accident when she was only three years old, so she grew up missing an important element in her life.  As a result, she has faced and overcome many challenging circumstances in her life.

Through the process she has gained wisdom and an appreciation for life, love, and family.  Although some of her circumstances could have become an excuse for failure, she chose a different path. She prayerfully seeks God's leading in her life, and this book was written out of her obedience to His answers to those prayers.

Theresa is most happy in the kitchen using her unique talents to create innovative culinary works of art.  She pours her heart into the passion God has given her, and she humbly seeks to give Him all the praise and glory.
