Grammy Hits the Road

Frieda was a very special creature. At the end of Frieda’s long skinny legs were purple sneakers with pink shoe laces covering her webbed feet. This was to give a little more bounce to her jumps. She always had on a pink tutu and a purple T- shirt with the letters FROG written in glitter across the front. This was not to identify who she was, but rather stood for Fully Rely on God. This was a motto that both Grammy and Frieda wanted to live by. On Frieda’s green head was a pink floppy hat with a purple band and a tiny flower around it. Hanging from the side of the hat was a small price tag. This reminded Grammy of the famous country singer, Minnie Pearl, who always wore a hat with a price tag hanging on it. Grammy once asked Frieda why she did not remove the tag? Frieda’s response was she left it on because you never know when you might want to return something. Grammy thought this was strange because she knew Frieda would never return this hat. She loved it, wore it all the time and had owned it for quite some time. Last but not least, and most importantly, Frieda always could be found with a big cheek-to-cheek smile across her wide-mouthed green face. She never seemed quite fully dressed without it.
