"Lifeline" is one of the poems in my book and is my personal testimony of depression in my life that influenced me to be suicidal. After numerous suicide attempts I finally sought help from God. Having been brought up in a Moravian church in Jamaica I deserted God on my return to England and soon discovered that everything that I was building in my life was to be suddenly taken from me and I hit rockbottom! I lost everything that I had and found myself in a penniless poverty stricken state as I lost my savings ,became homeless, ill, fearful, confused, heartbroken as my relationship of nine years suddenly ended! I felt totally alone as I was unable to share my demise with my Mom as she had health problems and I decided to suffer in silence.I was even scared to kill myself ! Then one Saturday night I had this yearning to read the word of God so I searched for my Bible and found it and I started to read , despite being old and tattered and the pages being stuck together. I read a few Psalms , I had neglected to read my Bible in years ! I started to talk to God and I felt total peace and comfort as I could feel his presence , then I started to cry uncontrollably and begged him to help me and to confirm to me that he was real. In my lowest moments of despair and frustration I found solace . Friends we should never ever turn our backs on God , especially after being brought up in a God-fearing home. He had to strip me of everything to rebuild me for his purpose and I give him thanks for the Lifeline that he offered and I can now testify to others that are in a similar situation of what I experienced and how I was delivered . Are you tired of this life, hitting rockbottom, depressed , confused , suicidal ? A lifeline is being offered , will you accept your lifeline today?

Maxine A H Forrester - Ministry Through Poetry Maxine Ann- Hilary Forrester was born in Enfield, London on May 7, 1970 to humble Christian parents. As an only child ,her upbringing was strict and God-fearing with her maternal grandparents in Jamaica from age three. Her potential writing ability was evident at an early age with her essays being published in The Children Own Newspaper ( a supplement of the Jamaica Gleaner) from age nine. Maxine is a Business Travel Consultant by profession with over twenty years experience within the travel industry and has recently formed Virtue Travel Limited. In December 2003, she committed her life to Jesus Christ and got baptized in his name. She worships at the Alpha Apostolic Church in Bromley, Kent and is an active member in her assembly. Being very passionate about winning souls for Jesus Christ , she is keen to employ the medium of poetry to achieve this with Gods help. As a Ministry Poet it is her aim that as you read and meditate on the poems that you will be truly blessed and be closer drawn to God. She bears testimony of numerous miracles and blessings that she has received in her life by trusting in God to deliver and can identify with numerous crises that we face as individuals. Trusting in God to deliver she has overcome suicide attempts, financial loss, heartbreak, bereavement, redundancy, terminal illness, loneliness and despair.
